In May 2007 Air Charter Service was called into urgent action to fly 14 tonnes of burgers from 比利时 to 瑞典 after a popular fast food restaurant ran out of the specific meat required for the product launch of a new type of burger.

Justin Lancaster, ACS’s Commercial Director, explains more: “We received a call from a freight forwarder representing the fast food chain saying that they needed to get the meat from a burger production plant near Liege to Gothenburg. 一个相当标准的要求, but complicated by the fact that they needed to be kept frozen, so we had to use a lot of dry ice to ensure that they did not defrost.

“我们组织了一个 B737-300F that was based in 比利时 和 could accommodate the dry ice 和 managed to get the burgers to 瑞典 in time for distribution to the restaurants 和 the product launch.”
